China - Palace style restaurants in Beijiing

Though in Beijing it's not super easy to find old-Beijing food, I would insist!  This restaurant is named Baihuadayuen (Chinese:白家大院), though touristic.  It was built by the prince of the first Qin dynasty king and located at 15 Suzhou Street, Haidian "海淀区苏州街15号乐家花园".

Waiter and waitress here wears the Qin palace worker custom.  They also greet with the palace gesture when meet.  If you like, you can eat at a Chinese-style pavilion, or even inside a private room.

They claim that the food is Qin-palace style.  At the left, it's the Feizixiao which means "Smile of the king's concubine".  It's actually petal with some sour juice.  I am not pretty interested to try petal though ; )  At the right it's the goose liver, of course, not in French style!

This is the palace dessert (宮廷小吃) I hope to try for long.  At the left it's the Ludagun 驢打滾, which means a donkey's somersault, at the right which is still in focus is the Wandouhuang, made by beans, at the rightmost which is out of focus is Babaofan, sticky rice.
